Kendra is a mom, wife and fitness enthusiast!  A native to Grand Rapids, she graduated from Calvin College with a BA in Exercise Science and played 4 years of collegiate basketball. She was recently nominated as a Distinguished Alumni and provides oversight and direction to all the corporate coaching models, product development and producing “one of a kind” results as a personal trainer.   She does a variety of community presentations and corporate consulting in addition to teaching group fitness and 1-1 training’s at the studio.  She started Allegro Coaching in 2009 with a goal to help clients transform their lives and their mindset through fitness.

Amanda has over 14 years of management experience in the health and wellness field. She received her degree in Health Science from Grand Valley State University where she played soccer both on the Varsity team as well as intramurals.   Her passion for sports/fitness led her into the field, but after five major knee surgeries, her athletic career came to an end.  Amanda’s positive attitude doesn’t let her knee issues prevent her from staying active and strong though as you’ll see her jumping around in class! Amanda enjoys working one-on-one with clients, leading small group sessions and teaching large group fitness classes.  Amanda holds multiple certifications with AFAALes Mills, PiYo, TRXR.I.P.P.E.D.Zumba and Healthways and currently teaches BODYPUMP, Bootcamp, Circuit Training, Happy Hour, R.I.P.P.E.D., Cardio Dance Fit and TRX at the studio and corporate accounts.

Julie has been a group fitness enthusiast for many years. After the birth of her second daughter, she
began taking Pilates classes to get back into shape and it changed her body and her life. That began her
journey to want to encourage others to conquer their own fitness goals. She received her Personal
Training Certification through Blue Heron Academy and her Body Barre and Pilates Mat certifications
through Balanced Body. She considers exercise a very important lifestyle choice to stay fit mentally as
well as physically.

Melissa grew up in northern Michigan where she excelled in basketball, volleyball & softball. Playing sports year-round began a foundation for fitness, eventually turning it into a passion and desire to help others reach their own health and fitness goals. Melissa is an ACE certified personal trainer and TRX group instructor with over three years of experience! In her current role as a personal trainer with Allegro, Melissa enjoys pushing clients to be their best by setting an example in her own personal fitness. She practices what she preaches and expects her clients to follow suit. This busy mom to a 14 and 12-year-old loves going to the beach with her family and watching movies.  Her goal for her family is the same as it is for her clients – to help give them practical information to live healthy and establish disciplines to make that a reality.

Marnie is a Personal Trainer and Health Coach at Allegro. Marnie is a NASM certified Personal Trainer and Spin instructor, with over 10 years in the fitness industry. She is a west coast native, having spent most of her life in Colorado. Marnie loves being outdoors hiking, cycling, trail running or relaxing at the beach and is passionate that fitness should be fun!

Katolo is certified through National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA)and National Council for
Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT), recently adding in certification through American College of Sports Medicine in personal training.

Katolo is also a Les Mills certified instructor in Bodystep, Bodypump and RPM. He has been training and teaching group fitness classes since 2005. Katolo regards fitness as an important part of life, and agrees 100 percent with the quote “Fitness is the beginning of everything people want in life”. He see’s fitness as a lifestyle. His goal is to promote healthy lifestyles with everyone he comes into contact with and to create life changing experiences. His passion is the help individuals reach their full potential and achieve their fitness goals, whatever they may be.

Jean is passionate about motivating people to reach their fitness goals. She wants others to experience the freedom to accomplish their goals on their own terms. Being successful in this requires a knowledge base to work with people of different fitness levels.  It also requires the ability to understand the needs of different fitness levels and motivate personal success.  The two are not different.  Knowledge and smart training inspires anyone whether the goal is losing twenty pounds or dropping twenty minutes!

Jean is certified in Spin, TRX, PiYo, Power Flex, New Leaf Metabolic Training, ACE Group Fitness and Aerobice Base and Periodization for Peak Performance 16 week winter training. For the past five years, Jean has led special winter classes for triathletes and cyclist and these classes are full with stories of athletes who were able to transform winter into the foundation for a successful race season!

Jamie VanderWoude teaches BootcampTRX and Happy Hour at the studio, as well as small group and 1-1 personal training.   She feels that the fitness industry challenges and empowers her to teach, encourage, and create workouts that are fun and deliver results. Jamie has always been a fitness enthusiast and avid runner for most of her life. She knows the importance of fun and accountability to get through a challenging workout. In addition to teaching group fitness, Jamie is a wife, new mommy and aestitician at a local salon in Grand Rapids.

Anne-Marie White

Anne-Marie White is a Licensed Advanced Practitioner of Massage Therapy and Respiratory Therapy.  Her training and education were completed through Health Enrichment Center and Muskegon Community College, respectively.  For 20+ years, she is energetic and passionate about sharing knowledge and making a difference in the lives she touches.  She uniquely combines the importance of breathing with her goals in massage to restore and maintain balance among many body systems (body – mind – spirit).  She is a fitness enthusiast and hopes to inspire others through her personal story of injury, recovery, and rehabilitation.  Her experience inspires massage techniques focused on deep tissue, myofascial release, cranial sacral, and joint mobility/stretching.  Come and enjoy the WELLNESS experience….you only have one body to live in, please don’t take it for granted!
